AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

 The BLS for Healthcare Providers course is designed to provide a wide variety of certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed, healthcare professionals with the skills to keep people alive until they can be brought to a hospital or be treated with more advanced lifesaving measures.

The BLS course covers:

  • adult, child and infant CPR
  • two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask
  • foreign-body airway obstruction (conscious and unconscious)

  • special resuscitation situations
  • other cardiopulmonary emergencies
  • stroke and cardiac arrest

BLS training is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed, healthcare professionals, including:

BLS Adult, Child, Infant CPR/AED & First-Aid

This is an American Heart Association BLS CPR / AED class with eLearning First-Aid.  Adults, children, and infants are all included.

This class is designed for individuals who need a CPR card for either personal fulfillment or for work purposes.  This class is perfect for the lay person, the fitness instructor, the educator, or the childcare professional. This class is also appropriate for parents, couples ready to adopt, expectant parents, or anyone else.

Heartsaver First Aid Online Part 1 is a self-paced online course that can be completed in less time than a classroom course.  This course teaches basic first aid skills such as: Relieving a person who is choking, Helping someone with a possible broken bone or sprain, Stopping bleeding that can be seen as well as recognizing how to react to a variety of medical emergencies.  After completion of the online course, a short skills check is required at our office.

You must complete the online portion of the first-aid class prior to your scheduled class date. You will be emailed more information after you register.

Adult: ECG Rhythm Identification (online only)

What is it?

Learn: Rhythm Adult is an online, self-directed course that introduces healthcare providers to normal cardiac rhythms and prepares them to recognize basic cardiac arrhythmias in clinical practice. Electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition is a key skill required to be successful in determining a patient’s condition and knowing which treatment algorithm to apply. This course allows healthcare providers to gain proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition in an effort to provide better treatment and improve patient outcomes.

Students have access to course material for 12 months after activating the course. No skills session is required for course completion; however, a certificate of completion is available to print.

  • Key changes in science, reflecting the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

  • Basic rhythm understanding

  • Relationship between ECG strip and heart impulses

American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Re-Certification Course.You MUST bring your current AHA ACLS Provider Certification Card to class and also provide a 2010/2011 Edition of the American Heart Association ACLS Provider Course Manual at class.

You must also bring the mandatory book and the completed score sheet of the ACLS precourse self-assessment test results to class. This class also includes the BLS eLearning class. You will be emailed a eLerning BLS Keycode that needs to be completed prior to the start of the class. Please bring in the BLS eLearning Course completion certificate. 

Once you register, you will be emailed the details of the class and the online keycode for the BLS eLearning course.

You must provide a 2011 Edition of the American heart Association PALS Provider Course Manual at class.

Fire Command 1B: Incident Management for Company Officers: 

This course provides the student with information on tactics, strategies, 
and scene management for multi-casualty incidents, hazardous materials 
incidents, and wildland fires. Each student also has the opportunity to 
increase his or her knowledge and skills by handling initial operations at 

these types of incidents through simulation and class activities.

BLS for Healthcare Providers Online is a fast, official American Heart Association (AHA) Self-Directed Comprehensive online cpr course which allows students to take the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR) course on a computer, instead of attending a traditional, classroom based course using simulation technology and scenario-based learning.
